STEM Learning Communities (PLC)

The STEM learning communities offer culturally responsive, mentoring benefits associated with content-based learning communities and co-mentoring principles that compensates for the shortcomings of a ‘one size fits all approach’ to teaching and mentoring. Students taking part in the learning communities will participate in activities that provide reflective STEM identity, increase confidence in STEM, increase value/interest in STEM, and exhibit STEM success. Students will receive guided and fostered collaboration of undeserved students through informal professional development activities.
