Our first strand meeting was on February 26th. Students made team flags within their strands, participated in a D.O.P.E Personality Test and several creativity activities involving tissue paper within the STEM Creativity and Research Strand. Within the STEM G.I.R.L.S strand students discussed the WISE Conference, self-help and how to destress, and watched a TED Talk. Students in the STEM Leadership Strand defined what it means to be a leaders and did an activity called “Who is the leader” where one student had to leave the room and then reenter and determine who a leader is by looking at the students; the leader will be doing a simple action and all other students will follow.
