The Mentoring Matters organizational structure follows a vertical model that includes:
- Program Facilitator
- Research Facilitators
- STEM Strand Facilitators
- Undergraduate
Program Participants
The mentoring relationships follow a hybrid (nested, vertical and horizontal), research mentoring model. They are separated into the following teams:
- The Research Team: Program & Research Facilitators, Graduate Support Personnel
- The STEM Strand Facilitators: CI 5383 Graduate Students & STEM Peer Mentors
- Undergraduate STEM Co-horts: Underrepresented students in specific STEM disciplines*
*the targeted participants for the purpose of the grant include Black, Latinx, and female STEM students that major in one of the following areas:
- Computer Science
- Chemistry
- Engineering/ Engineering Technology
- Mathematics
- Physics
However, all students are welcomed to participate.
